Sugarbelly Records emerged from the bedroom
studio
of producer/ composer Jelto van Nieuwburg in 2005. Since
then it has evolved into a independent recordlabel with
a vast international network and an evergrowing fanbase.
Originally started as a web-based label
Sugarbelly embraced the digital age and secured large Internet
distribution deals in its first year of existence. This
led to a physical distribution deal with Lowlands Distribution
in January 2006.
Their first release, Oi! from U-Monks,
hit several underground top 10 charts, and received radioplay
on numerous radiostations, such as: BreaksFm, Nuskoolbreaks
Radio, Proton, and the MAGMA radio show (broadcasted on
40 radiostations). Oi! was even selected by MAGMA as one
of their "tracks of the month" (July
2006).
Extensively supported by radiostations,
Dj's and music fans from all over the world, Sugarbelly
and their artists are greatly encouraged to proceed their
present course. You could say that Sugarbelly Records isn't
just a label, but a tight family of creative minds exploring
their boundries in music and in business.
